Coronavirus: Schools to receive hand sanitizers

The Ghana Education Service says it will distribute hand sanitizers to public schools in the country after a joint meeting with the Ghana Health Service in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

has recorded two cases of the deadly virus that has been classified as a
pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The two – a Ghanaian who was returning from Turkey and a Norwegian Diplomat – tested positive for the virus on Thursday.

Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research.

these are imported cases of COVID-19,” Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu announced
on Thursday.

among other things, that “basic preventive items like hand sanitizers” will be
distributed to the schools.

joint communique also stated that educational materials, jointly developed by
the GES and GHS will be widely circulated to schools to facilitate education about
the disease at that level.
