Entrepreneur must start to think globally – Darrel Frater

The Vice President of Business Development has urged diasporans to build relationships with like-minded people as it forms part of the foundation to success.

According to him, students must not limit themselves in cities but rather aimed at building an international business relationship as an entrepreneur.

“Relationships are the single most important thing in the world. They are the foundation of success” he said

Darrel Frater was speaking at the third instalment of the US-Ghana Business Summit at The College of New Jersey in the United State, on the theme, “Transforming a cultural diaspora into a business network,” focusing on social networking as a means for connecting people of African descent across the globe.

He added that in this day and age, it’s not enough to only build relationships with people in your city, state, or even country. It’s time to start thinking globally, and building relationships with like-minded individuals from all over the world.

The Summit seeks to encourage such activity within our community.

Vicent Harris, certified speaker, and business consultant and Eric Gilchrist, VP at Eastcoast Magazine were among the panellist.

The event was held by Urban Entrepreneurs Centers Of America in partnership with Confluent Media.

The event was attended by college students and community leaders, many of whom are currently engaged in business relationships with parties in Africa.

Partners includes the Urban Entrepreneur Centers of America, ASFA – Association of Students For Africa, MOE – Men of Excellence, NABA – National Association of Black Accountants, Sow S.E.E.D.S, Inc., East Coast Magazine and Famon Travels and Tours Ltd.
