Reckless NAPO Must Apologise To Mahama Or Else NDC Spews Venom

The National Democratic Congress has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to sack the Education Minister, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh for bringing shame to the ruling government.

Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh is trending for his comments on students and parents who collapsed at the Black Star Square last Monday.

The Minister, popularly known as NAPO, on Asempa FM Tuesday claimed that former President John Mahama bused people to the Independence Square to cause chaos in the ongoing exercise and fake collapsing to give the ruling government a bad name.

“We opened the center at the independence square to address the needs of Ghanaians who want to go to school, but some evil people have decided to pay GHc 20 and GHc 50 to people to go there and stage fainting and collapse, yesterday some of the collapses were fake. I’m even wondering why they brought little kids to the centre,” he stated.

However, the NDC is appalled by this comment.

Speaking on Peace FM’s evening news, Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer of the NDC said if the Minister has any conscience, he should willingly apologize to Mahama for insulting him and for embarrassing the ruling government.

According to him, if he fails to do that, the NDC is no longer going to accord him with any respect whatsoever.

“Is this what a whole Minister can say . . . who on earth will gather people just to collapse? You have failed the country and instead of apologizing to parents, you are rather insulting us,” he said in an interview with Kwabena Marfo.
